Indigo at The Village – A New Chapter
in East Kilbride
In June 2024, Indigo proudly acquired Toybox
Nursery, now operating as Indigo at The
Village. While the journey to completion came
with some complexities, this acquisition
represents a key milestone in Indigo’s strategic
growth and our commitment to making highquality, accessible childcare available to more
families across new communities.
Our People Plan at Indigo at the Village
Staff and families helped co-create our
new promotional video, which highlights
the service’s vibrant culture and swift
progress, encapsulating the Indigo
experience.
Indigo at the Village continues to show
strong potential, and we remain confident
in its long-term success and impact.
Positive feedback was received through
both a Peer Inspection and South
Lanarkshire Council’s monitoring visits,
recognising improvements in
environment, practice, and child
experiences.
Brand Integration & Promotion
With a successful transition of 60% of the
original team and strong alignment with
Indigo’s values, we confidently moved
straight to full Indigo branding. Acquired
and rebranded Toybox Nursery to Indigo
At The Village
We didn't have a great experience with H at his
previous nursery and I was in two minds about
trying another one, so I'm truly appreciative of how
well cared for and looked after Harry has been. I can
leave him every morning knowing that he is in safe
hands and go to work without any worries. It really
makes such a difference!

Collaboration with Local Authorities
East Renfrewshire
A comprehensive report was submitted to East
Renfrewshire Council, alongside an offer of
consultancy support to help shape their ongoing
inclusive child care initiatives. Feedback has been
positive and are in next steps.
