Key Engagements & Emerging Opportunities
Local Authorities & Politicians
Throughout the year, we strengthened relationships with key stakeholders across government,
education, community, and housing sectors to enhance service delivery and create new
opportunities for collaboration.
Local Government
Parliamentary Engagement
A local council leader attended our Open Day
and explored opportunities to support
community-focused infrastructure.
A national committee representative
expressed strong interest in our holistic
childcare support, particularly around
affordability and social impact. Plans for
ongoing dialogue were initiated.
Community Partnerships
A faith-based organisation supported us
through event hosting and equipment
provision. Discussions are ongoing regarding
further collaboration, including the use of
space for childcare delivery.
A visit was scheduled with a member of
parliament to discuss early years policy and
the broader implications of national insurance
reforms.
Housing Sector Engagement
Education Sector Collaboration
A meeting was held with a local housing
association to explore joint initiatives aimed
at improving access to funded early learning
and childcare for local families.
Secondary Schools: Students participated in
placements and work experience through
the Developing the Young Workforce (DYW)
initiative, supporting future employment
pathways.
Castlemilk: Building Stronger
Collaboration
Indigo has taken the lead on a collaborative
funding bid for the Holiday Food Programme,
partnering with six local organisations which
will enhance our community standing and
partnerships. In addition, we have formed a
new alliance with the Castlemilk Wellbeing Hub
CIC to explore joint service delivery models
focused on wellbeing support for children,
families, and staff.
National Engagement and Recognition
Social Investment Scotland (SIS)
Our CEO was invited to SIS’s 25th Anniversary
Dinner, providing access to senior civil
servants and investors. Indigo has been
invited to advise the Scottish Government’s
Economic Development Directorate on
childcare and social enterprise policy. SIS has
also nominated our CEO for the WISE100
Women in Social Enterprise UK, where she
had reached the final 10.
Colleges: We extended placements to HND
students, strengthening our recruitment
pipeline and supporting practical training in
early years care.
Recognition: WISE100 Finalist
We’re proud to share that our Chief
Executive, Jacqueline Lamb, was named a
finalist in the WISE100 Social Business
Woman of the Year 2025 awards.
The WISE100 celebrates outstanding women
in social enterprise across the UK. Jacqueline
was recognised for her leadership in growing
Indigo’s impact, expanding access to highquality childcare, and championing
community-led, inclusive services. Her work
continues to drive positive change for
families, staff, and local partners alike.
