FAMILY MATTERS: ENHANCING OUTCOMES
THROUGH HOLISTIC SUPPORT
This year, our Family Matters program continued to strengthen families by providing vital support
services that promote inclusion, wellbeing, and access to affordable childcare. Through a range of
targeted initiatives, we helped hundreds of parents and caregivers feel more connected,
supported, and empowered in their parenting journey.
167 families were supported to access or maintain childcare, enabling parents to work, study, or
manage personal circumstances with confidence.
77 children’s parents accessed subsidised school-age childcare, reducing financial pressure and
ensuring safe, engaging environments for children beyond the school day.
521 families participated in our welcoming and inclusive Stay and Play sessions—creating space
for children to learn and thrive through play, while parents built social connections and shared
experiences.
We also delivered monthly peer support sessions for parents of neurodiverse children, providing a
compassionate space for shared learning, encouragement, and solidarity. Our work continues to
centre on the belief that strong families build strong communities. Family Matters remains a
cornerstone of our mission to ensure every child and parent feels seen, supported, and set up for
success.
