Loving Language: Expanding Reach and National Influence
The Loving Language programme continues to gain national recognition, supported by ongoing
collaborative advocacy with key partners such as the Royal College of Speech and Language
Therapists and Early Years Scotland. These partnerships are helping to safeguard and expand
the programme’s impact at a strategic level.
This year marked a significant milestone with the first external paid training session successfully
delivered. The session received strong positive feedback, leading to increased interest from
schools and local agencies, and further training enquiries are already underway.
Loving Language is emerging as a flagship initiative, not only enriching Indigo's internal practice
but also contributing to broader national efforts in early communication and speech
development.
Empowering People and Driving Innovation
Indigo continued to invest in its people, strengthening leadership, digital capacity, and staff-led
innovation across the organisation.
Promoted Posts were introduced to support succession planning and build leadership capacity
within middle management, creating clear pathways for internal growth.
The Digital Champions initiative is enhancing digital learning across services and improving
parental engagement, with staff leading the integration of digital tools into daily practice.
Changemakers, an innovation programme, is empowering staff at all levels to lead
improvements. Early outcomes include enhancements to service design, team processes, and
alignment with strategic goals.
Together, these initiatives are helping to build a confident, capable, and future-focused workforce.
